College Cellars

Walla Walla, WA

College Cellars of Walla Walla is a teaching winery located at the Center for Enology and Viticulture on the campus of Walla Walla Community College. The 15,000 square foot facility houses wine curriculum classrooms, a wine analysis laboratory, faculty offices, and the fully operational commercial winery. College Cellars of Walla Walla is one of the only two-year teaching commercial wineries in the United States. Our wines are crafted by students as a part of their study of the science of winemaking. The winery was bonded in September, 2003 and our first wine, a 2002 Sagemoor Vineyards Chardonnay, was released in May, 2004. The proceeds from the sale of College Cellars wine go to support the Enology & Viticulture program and students. Cheers to students!
2016 Scholarship White
Our flagship blend of Walla Walla fruit is fruity and off-dry. This summer sipper is perfect on the patio.
2016 Sauvignon Blanc
Opens with distinct floral essences of elderflower, magnolia rounding out with gooseberry, fresh cut bluegrass, grapefruit and a dash of well integrated minerality and acidity. This wine illustrates the tension found in the 2016 vintage.
2015 Petit Verdot
Petit Verdot is a Bordeaux blending variety that shines on its own in Washington. The variety really delivers deep color and rich tannin. Enjoy with summer mixed grill.
2015 Syrah
You wouldn’t know from the dark color but this Syrah contains a bit of white wine! This wine was co-fermented with Viognier fruit in the Côte-Rôtie style. The addition of 3% Viognier adds a light floral note to the deep, fruity nose.
